Illustrations & Textile Art for Nostalgic Hearts

Hello, and welcome to Magpies and Diamonds, my little corner of the internet where original handmade art comes to life. I’m based in the UK, often working from a desk piled high with vintage fabrics, paintbrushes, and (more often than not) empty tea mugs and a sleepy Springer Spaniel curled up on my lap.

My creative path began with a degree in Textile Art and a love of collecting treasures from the past. I spent years selling vintage clothing, which is where the name Magpies and Diamonds first took flight. Today, my work blends textile artistry with a love for nature-inspired illustration. I repurpose antique and vintage fabrics into soft sculpture textile art and create delicate watercolour and ink illustrations inspired by the natural world, local UK landscapes, and the curious details that spark the imagination. Each piece is slow-made with care, whether it’s a richly layered fabric sculpture, a botanical illustration, or an original artwork ready to find its forever home.
